The price is a bit high for falafel, but most diners use the pita as a plate, eat the inside of the pita, and then return to the stand again and again to load more falafel and salads. In practice, you eat much more than a standard portion of pita. Note, as some of the commenters here have noted, that the owners and employees of the place are very childish, laughing with the customers, and not everyone understands the humor.
